[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\n\n\nRNS Number : 2863C LPA Group PLC 03 March 2011 \n \n\nLPA GROUP PLC\n(\"LPA\" or the \"Group\")\n \nResult of Annual General Meeting, Trading Update and Technology Awards\nLPA Group plc (\"LPA\" or the \"Group\") is an AIM quoted LED lighting and electro-mechanical engineering group. \n \nAt today's Annual General Meeting (\"AGM\") all resolutions were duly passed.\n \nMichael Rusch, Chairman, made the following comments on current trading:\n \n\"I am pleased to report that in comparison with the very difficult first four months of last financial year, current year orders are £0.26m ahead, sales £1.09m ahead and a modest trading profit has been achieved. In addition output in February 2011, the fifth month of the financial year, was a record for that month, giving us increasing confidence of progress at the half year and good progress for the year as a whole. \n \n\"We have a good order book for delivery during the rest of this and next financial year and many further opportunities which we are vigorously pursuing. We are operating well within our banking facilities. \n \n\"Shareholders will be aware that we have invested heavily in the development of our LED-based lighting technology. I am delighted to report that the excellence of this technology has been recognised by the receipt of three major awards, culminating in the Rail Business Award for Environmental Innovation won by our LumiPanel® product at last month's ceremony at the London Hilton. \n \n\"LumiPanel® is a solid state lighting panel 20mm thick which replaces in fit, form and function an entire fluorescent luminaire. It lasts up to five times longer than a fluorescent lamp and typically uses 40% less energy for the same light output. It is made from predominantly recyclable materials.
