[{"type":"text","content":"Chronic Cluster Headaches No More: The Promise Of Lobe Sciences' At-Home Psychedelic Treatments Without The Trip!\n \n \n (NewsDirect)\n \n \n By Richard Dal Monte\n \n \n As early as the 1950s,\nscientists were researching the possible therapeutic benefits of\npsychedelics such as LSD and psilocybin mushrooms.\n \n \n But by the late 1960s,\nwhen the counterculture looked to psychedelics to turn on, tune in and\ndrop out, those substances had earned a bad name, and that set back\nscientific exploration into their possible constructive uses for\ndecades.\n \n \n More\nrecently, however, scientists affiliated with universities and\nbiotechnology companies have been examining anew the healing potential\nof psychedelics with an eye to treating everything from mental\nillnesses to strokes.\n \n \n One such company is\n \n Lobe Sciences Ltd.\n \n (CSE: LOBE | OTC QB: LOBEF), which is working\non new compounds that could be used at sub-hallucinogenic levels to\naddress severe anxiety in children as well as provide relief for\nsufferers of chronic cluster headaches — so devastating they’re\nalso known as “suicide headaches” — and treat them at home with\na prescription.\n \n \n A\nclinical-stage drug development biotechnology company focused on\ntransforming psychedelic medicine to benefit neurological health in\npatients of all ages. Lobe Sciences is looking to take a bite out of a\npsychedelic drug market that is\n \n estimated\nto reach USD$10.35 billion\n \n \n \n by\n2028.\n \n \n Lobe’s\ncurrent focus is on two of its proprietary, patent-pending psilocin\ncompounds, known as L-130 and L-131, which are slated for multiple\nPhase 1 and 2 human trials in 2023.\n \n \n Psilocin is the key for Lobe Sciences\n \n \n Dr. Fred Sancilio of\nClearway Global, which is conducting clinical trials of L-130, says\n“there have been studies of much higher doses of psilocybin, which\nconverts to psilocin in the body, that have showed success in\ntreatment. But those hallucinogenic doses require a patient to remain\nin a sedate environment under a doctor’s supervision and can have a\nprolonged effect on the recipient.”\n \n \n Additionally, he notes that “the conversion\nof psilocybin to psilocin varies from patient to patient depending on\neach individual’s metabolism and...
