The Akaiwong Project is located 20 kilometers southeast of the\nsignificant gold discovery at Aurora by Guyana Goldfields (TSX: GUY).\n\n\nHole AK06-33B, located along Line 16 South, was restarted and completed\nto a depth of 150 meters. The rig was then relocated to hole AK07-34 and\ncompleted to a depth of 100 meters. The rig is now being relocated to AK-07-35\nfor the continuation of the program. All core is being split on site, and\nshipped to Georgetown for preparation by ACME Laboratories. Fire assays will\nbe completed by ACME Laboratories of Vancouver B.C.\n\n\nPrivate Placement - The private placement announced March 6, 2007, is\nawaiting the completion of due-diligence by the interested parties. Terms\nremain as announced.\n\n\nGold Port Resources is an aggressive junior exploration company with\nthree gold exploration projects in Guyana, South America.
