[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n$100,000 Match Program to Aid Flood Victims Announced\n\n\nTORONTO, June 27, 2013 /CNW/ - Leon's Furniture Limited (TSX: LNF),\n including its Leon's and Brick Group divisions, announce its initiative\n to assist those who have been impacted by the flooding in Calgary and\n other parts of Southern Alberta.   Under the Leon's/Brick Southern\n Alberta Flood Relief Initiative, Leon's and The Brick will match\n contributions received from their employees and their customers up to a\n total of $100,000.\n\n\n\"Our hearts and prayers go out to those who have been impacted by the\n Southern Alberta floods this past week\", said Terry Leon, Chief\n Executive Officer of Leon's and The Brick.  \"We hope that the combined\n efforts of Leon's and The Brick, two Canadian businesses with strong\n roots in Southern Alberta, can together make a meaningful difference in\n the recovery efforts.\"\n\n\nLeon's and Brick customers and employees will be able to make donations\n at any of Leon's, The Brick, The Brick Mattress Store or United\n Furniture Warehouse locations until July 31, 2013.   For each dollar received,   Leon's and The Brick together will match\n that dollar by contributing up to $100,000 to the Canadian Red Cross to\n aid flood relief work in southern Alberta.\n\n\n\"Many homes and lives have been tragically impacted by the flood waters\n in Southern Alberta\" commented Vi Konkle, President of The Brick.   \"We\n have already stepped up by helping deliver necessary supplies to those\n in need and will further our efforts with this financial contribution. \n When tragedy strikes, Albertans pull together, and Leon's and The Brick\n together are right there to join the relief efforts.\"\n\n\nAbout Leon's\nLeon's was founded in 1909 and is one of Canada's best-known home\n furnishings retailers offering great value on furniture, major\n appliances and home electronics.
