(\"Centenera\" or the \"Company\") - (TSXV: CT), reports that surface sampling has been completed at the Company's flagship Organullo Gold Project (\"Organullo\" or the \"Project\") located close to San Antonio de los Cobres in Salta Province. The sampling and prospecting program completed infill sampling of existing 4 target areas (Targets 1 to 4) and identified 4 new target areas (Targets 5 to 8) (Figure 1) which have also been sampled extensively. Samples have been dispatched to the laboratory in Mendoza, Argentina for analysis and results are expected in due course.\n\n \n \n\nClick Image To View Full Size\n\n \n \nFigure 1: Target Location Map with locations for 2016 Rock Sampling\n\n \n \nAbout Organullo\n\n \n \nThe Organullo project is a relatively advanced exploration project, located close to the Company's new Trigal gold project (see previous news release, December 1, 2015). The project has 43 historical drillholes totalling 8,174 meters of diamond and reverse circulation drilling. The project has been explored in the past by several companies including Triton Mining Corp., Northern Orion Explorations Ltd., Newmont Mining, and Cardero Resource Corp (\"Cardero\"). A report, \"Organullo Exploration Targets & Pit Optimization\", dated June 6, 2012, is authored by Robin Rankin of GeoRes. The work resulted in (i) potential exploration target tonnages and (ii) potential exploration target grades of gold at the Organullo property, which were reported at lower and upper ranges.\n\n \n \nTable 1: Estimation of Target Tonnage and Grade at Organullo\n\n \n\nTarget Range\n\n\n\n\nBase Case Gold Cut-Off g/t\n\n\n\n\nTonnage (x '000)\n\n\n\n\nGold Grade\n\n\n\ng/t\n\n\n\n\nGold\n\n\n\nOunces\n\n\n\n(x '000)\n\n\n\n\nLower\n\n\n\n\n0.5\n\n\n\n\n19,800\n\n\n\n\n0.94\n\n\n\n\n600\n\n\n\n\nUpper\n\n\n\n\n0.5\n\n\n\n\n31,600\n\n\n\n\n0.92\n\n\n\n\n940\n\n\n \n \nEstimation of target tonnage and grade was determined using two common strike and dip directions, each characteristic of a specific exploration target area. Block models were built for two target areas. Block sizes were defined to emphasise the narrow vein orientation and ...
