(\"Largo\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to provide the following operational update for its\n Maracás Vanadium Project in Bahia, Brazil (the \"Project\").\n\n\nElectrical-mechanical erection at the Project, which includes the\n installation of equipment and structures, continues on track for\n expected commissioning in the first quarter of 2014 (see pictures 1-8).\n\n\nA summary of recent developments is listed below.\n\n\nHighlights of Ongoing Development: \n\n\n\nMine\n\nPre-stripping of the Gulçari \"A\" open pit is proceeding as planned with\n the first bench at the 300 level and the main pit access ramp well\n underway. First loads of ore have been delivered into the crushing\n plant.\n\n\n\n\nUtilities\n\nThe electrical power line was completed in October (as announced on\n October 21) and electrical substations at the project have been\n commissioned.\n\nThe water treatment plant is complete and has been commissioned. The\n steam boiler and its stack have been installed while associated pipe\n work and auxiliary equipment installation continues.\n\n\n\n\nCrushing and Beneficiation (see photos 1-3)\n\nFull commissioning of the crushing system commenced in October (see\n press release October 3, 2013) and is continuing on track. A crushed\n ore stock pile of around 25,000 tonnes is planned.\n\nConstruction and erection of the steel structure and conveyors for the\n beneficiation plant has concluded.  Pipework on the slurry lines for\n the ball mill, magnetic separators and belt filters is well advanced.\n\nCommissioning of portions of the beneficiation plant has started and\n concentrate will be produced and stockpiled during December and will be\n ready for kiln commissioning.\n\n\n\n\nKiln (see photos 4 - 6)\n\nConstruction of the steel structures for the kiln feed, kiln discharge\n platforms as well as for the electrostatic precipitator has concluded.\n\nAll the remaining rollers for the kiln and cooler arrived at site in\n early November and have been installed on their piers.
