The appointment will take effect from 1 January 2010.\n \nRobert Noel has been Property Director of Great Portland Estates plc, the specialist central London investment and development company, since 2002.\n \nFrancis Salway, Group Chief Executive of Land Securities said of the appointment:\n'Robert has an outstanding track record on transactions and investment performance in the London property market and we can look forward to him leading our London Portfolio team to continued success.'\n\nRobert Noel said:\n'I have enjoyed my time at Great Portland tremendously and leave a talented team and company in great shape. From 1992 to 2002 he was a director of Nelson Bakewell Ltd, the property services group, where his principal clients were GE Capital, MEPC plc and Benchmark Group PLC. He joined Great Portland Estates plc in June 2002 and was appointed to the Board in August 2002.
