[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n LANCASHIRE HOLDINGS LIMITED \n\n4 June 2013\nLondon UK\n\n Lancashire Capital Management (\"LCM\") division appointment \n\nLancashire Holdings Limited (\"Lancashire\" or the \"Company\") is pleased to\nannounce the appointment of Mathieu Marsan as Portfolio Manager & Actuary of\nthe Lancashire Capital Management (\"LCM\") division.\n\nMathieu has more than 13 years of insurance and investment experience, having\npreviously spent the last 6 years with Pentelia Capital Management (Bermuda)\nLtd, an insurance-linked securities (\"ILS\") fund managing catastrophe bonds,\nIndustry Loss Warranties and collateralised reinsurance. His duties included\nrisk modeling, portfolio construction and management of all ILS asset classes.\nPrior to that, he served as an insurance derivatives trader for Ritchie Capital\nManagement (Bermuda) Ltd, and before that as an actuarial advisor for\nDesjardins Financial Security.\n\nDarren Redhead, Head of LCM said: \"I am delighted that Mathieu is joining us.\nWith his strong actuarial background and fund management experience, he is a\ngreat addition to our team and will be very helpful in meeting our third party\ncapital strategic objectives\".\n\nCommenting on his appointment, Mathieu said: \"I am really excited to be joining\na company such as Lancashire which has an excellent track record, and has\nalready proven that it can innovate in the ILS arena and manage third party\ncapital.
