[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nLAVAL, QC, July 11 /CNW/ - Stellar Pacific Ventures (SPX) is pleased to\nannounce the first results of its summer drilling program on the Vassan\nproperty located within the Val d'Or gold camp. The program is testing the\ndepth extension of the Hamelin Zone.\n\n\nHole V2007-02 intersected two zones of massive sulphides (30 cm and\n50 cm) at a vertical depth of 500 metres within an ultramafic sequence.\nSulphides mostly consist of pyrrhotite and chalcopyrite. As observed at higher\nlevels of the Hamelin deposit, total sulphide content is a good indicator of\ngold values. The following results include the two massive sulphide\nintersections as well as stringer material observed on both sides of the main\nveins. Many more results from that hole are pending.\n\n\nFROM TO WIDTH Au Cu\n(m) (m) (m) g/t %\n------------------------------------------------\n620,20 621,30 1,10 13,28 0,96\n------------------------------------------------\n626,40 628,60 2,20 10,52 0,47\n------------------------------------------------\n\n\nRegrouping these two intersections into a single one gives 4.56 g/t Au\nover 8.4 metres.\n\n\nHole V2007-02 was drilled in the vicinity of holes AB-98-01 (16.40 g/t Au\nand 0.42 % Cu over 1.0 m and 7.54 g/t Au and 0.52 % Cu over 1.1 m), V2006-12\n(10.43 g/t Au, 6.6 g/t Ag and 0.64% Cu over 1 metre) and V2006-13 (16.03 g/t\nAu over 0.33 metre and 5.86 g/t Au over 0.62 metre).\n\n\nTwo drill rigs are actually testing the depth extension of the Hamelin\ndeposit. The drilling program consists of seven holes totally approximately\n5,000 m.\n\n\nAll samples are being prepared and assayed at Laboratoire Expert of\nRouyn-Noranda. The company has a QAQC program that includes systematic use of\ngold standards and blanks as well as re-assaying of all samples grading above\n1 g/t Au (pulp) and all samples grading above 10 g/t Au (pulp and reject).\nAverage values are being used as official results.\n\n\nPierre O'Dowd, geologist and Qualified Person as per National Instrument\n43-101, is responsible for preparing the technical information contained in\nthe release.
