Geol. as joined the company as\nTechnical Advisor for the development of the Vassan gold property.\n\n\nM. Depatie will assist the company for the preparation, and supervision\nof the exploration and development programs based on his personal knowledge of\nthe Val d'Or gold mining structures.\n\n\nM. Depatie is well knowned in the mining community with his 30 years of\nnational and international experience in economic geology. He has worked in\nover 30 countries and acted as a consultant for organisations such as: The\nUnited Nations, The World Bank, The Commonwealth Secretariat, The Asian\nDevelopment Bank, The Canadian International Development Agency and Quebec's\nMinistry of Natural Resources. He was recipient of an award of excellence by\nthe Quebec Department of Energy and resources in 1990 and he is also a former\npresident of the Quebec Professional Association of Geologists and\nGeophysicists.\n\n\nM. Depatie has been president and vice president of several mining\ncompanies. He presently sits on the board of directors of the following\ncompanies: Gold Hawk Resources, Franc-Or Resources Corp, Alexis Minerals Corp\nand Consolidated Thomson Lundmark Mines. He was also on the board of Novicourt\nMines Inc, now Extrata, and Glamis Gold Ltd before its merger with\nGoldcorp inc.\n\n\nWith this appointment, Stellar Pacific Ventures (SPX) as obtained a major\nincreased in the quality and knowledge of his technical team now formed by\nM. Jacques Trottier PhD, Jean Depatie and Pierre O'Dowd.\n\n\nThe Vassan property is located within the Val-d'Or Gold Mining Camp which\nproduced to date over 450 tonnes of gold from 27 mines. The structure is well\ndefined down to the 400 meters level then it appears to be displaced or split\ninto two or more veins below that level.
