The appointments of Mr. Price and Mr. Van\nDoorne were made in connection with the acquisition by Solana of Breakaway\nEnergy Inc., a privately held international oil and gas exploration company.\nScott and Glenn comprise a highly experienced senior management team with\nover 50 years involvement in the oil and gas industry. The team has a solid\ntrack record of value creation, having been involved in the development and\nsubsequent successful sale of a number of public and private oil and gas\ncompanies.\nScott, the founding director and President of Breakaway, has 22 years of\ndiverse global experience. Concurrent with his Breakaway initiatives, he\nco-founded, and is currently the non-executive chairman of, Virgin Resources\nLimited, a private international exploration company with activities in the\nMiddle East.\nPrior to Breakaway, Scott was President and Chief Executive officer of\nAventura Energy Inc., an internationally focused Canadian public E&P company.\nUnder his guidance Aventura grew from a market capitalization of $12 million\nto $220 million. Aventura was subsequently sold to British Gas for $228 \nmillion. Prior to Aventura, Scott held a number of senior positions within\nOcelot International Inc., most recently as the Vice President Finance and\nChief Financial Officer based in the United Kingdom.\nScott has oil and gas experience in North and South America, Africa,\nMiddle East, the former Soviet Union and Canada. He started his career as a\nproduction, operations and drilling engineer in Canada and holds a Bachelor of\nScience degree in Chemical Engineering and a Masters of Business\nAdministration degree, both from the University of Calgary.\nGlenn, also a founder of Breakaway, has over 30 years of worldwide oil &\ngas experience including eight years in Canada. He previously founded IbrizOil\nInc and during 2002 he identified exploration and development opportunities in\nKazakhstan which were subsequently acquired by Big Sky Energy Corp.
