(TSX: KPT) has a limited interest, today announced a major increase in its production of Scotties® facial tissues at its Richelieu Plant in\n \n Gatineau\n \n , Québec. The announcement was made in the presence of\n \n \n Christopher Skeete\n \n \n , Québec Minister for the Economy;\n \n \n Suzanne Tremblay\n \n \n , the Member of the National Assembly for Hull, and\n \n \n Michel Manseau\n \n \n , Senior Vice President and General Manager, Consumer Products –\n \n Canada\n \n , Kruger Products.\n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n \n Through this expansion project, which received investments totalling\n \n $14.5 million\n \n and created 16 jobs, Kruger Products commissioned a new facial tissue converting line at its Richelieu Plant in\n \n November 2023\n \n . The additional equipment will increase the production of facial tissue by 25%.\n \n \n Another component of the project will be rolled out at the Laurier Plant, also in\n \n Gatineau\n \n , where new equipment will collect tissue production residues. With a view to the circular economy, the residues will be repulped for the manufacture of value-added projects. This component, which is expected to be completed in\n \n June 2025\n \n , will also enable the\n \n Laurier\n \n and Richelieu Plants to increase their productivity.\n \n \n Investissement Québec provided support for the project in the form of a\n \n $7.27-million\n \n loan granted under the ESSOR program.\n \n \n \n \"I congratulate everyone who contributed to the installation of our new converting line at the Richelieu Plant, on time and on budget.
