[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nTSXv - TM\n\n\nFrankfurt - TUY\n\n\nOTCBB - TUMIF\n\n\nVANCOUVER, Feb. 7 /CNW/ - Tumi Resources Limited (the \"Company\")\n(TSXv-TM; OTCBB - TUMIF; Frankfurt - TUY). David Henstridge, President & CEO,\nreports that geochemical sampling within the 100% owned Phoenix claim, located\nsouthwest of Caborca, Sonora, Mexico, has been completed. An initial reverse\ncirculation drill program will commence upon the completion of drilling at the\nCompany's La Trini project located west of Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico (see\npress release dated January 16, 2007).\n\n\nFor the last few months, the Company has undertaken a systematic gridding\nand rock/soil sampling program on the Phoenix claim, searching for bulk\ntonnage gold/silver mineralization. Phoenix is underlain by Mesozoic volcanic,\nsedimentary and intrusive rocks covered by a young, gently dipping alluvial\nplain. An area roughly three km east-west by three km north-south has been\ngridded, from which 3,120 samples have been taken. The lines are spaced either\n50m or 100m apart with stations every 20m along the lines. Most of the samples\nwere taken from rock as the soil cover is sparse and poorly developed.\n\n\nMulti-element ICP analyses of the samples have shown strongly anomalous\narsenic, silver, lead, zinc, and to some extent antimony, which may be\ncorrelated with hematite and carbonate altered horizons. These horizons seem\nto parallel the sedimentary and volcanic stratigraphy that trends\nnorthwest-southeast and dips gently to moderately southwest. Gold has not been\nanalyzed in these samples for cost purposes; it has been demonstrated from\nprevious sampling that gold has a strong correlation with the elements\nmentioned above. It is believed that up to five distinct horizons exist over a\nstrike length of up 2 1/2 km; these horizons remain open to the southeast.\n\n\nIn the southwest corner of the grid, anomalous geochemistry coincides\nwith a granitic body exposed over an area 400m by 700m. Numerous old workings\ndisplay a stockwork-style of fracturing and mineralization. Numerous higher\ngrade veins overprint this system and were exploited by individuals, or\n\"gambosinos\".\n\n\nThe Company is preparing 14 drill sites to test the anomalous zones in\nseven different locations.\n\n\nMr Henstridge stated: \"The exploration has defined a large, low grade\nprec...
