For many of these children, this is their first time on a boat.\"\n In addition, this educational vessel will also serve as a floating laboratory. This twin-hulled boat will gently transport K-12 students to the 700 acre Newport Back Bay Estuary. Students will also have a chance to visit the California Institute of Technology's William G. Kerckhoff Marine Laboratory in Corona Del Mar and talk with world class scientists about ongoing Sea Urchin DNA research.\n The vessel will be maintained by professional staff and berthed on ExplorOcean's waterfront free of charge. The hull will be wrapped in ExplorOcean's colorful logo and meets the design, construction and safety requirements of the US Coast Guard. Philanthropists who still wish...
