[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 6457G Kier Group PLC 07 November 2018 \n\n \n7 November 2018\n \nKier Group plc\n \nKier appointed to Highways England £8.7bn Regional Delivery Partnership framework\n \nKier Group plc (\"Kier\"), a leading infrastructure services, buildings and developments & housing group, confirms it has been appointed to Highways England's £8.7bn six-year Regional Delivery Partnership framework for Band B projects exceeding £100m in the north region covering the north west, north east, Yorkshire and Humberside, with a total value of c.£2bn to be shared across the region.\n \nThrough the framework Kier will work collaboratively with Highways England and other partner organisations on the detailed design and construction of the A585 Windy Harbour to Skippool and the A5036 Port of Liverpool tranche 1 schemes (RIS 1 projects). Further capital or operations schemes will be awarded to Delivery Integration Partners based on performance on early schemes.\n \nThe new framework is set to replace the Collaborative Delivery Framework that Highways England currently operates. Under the Regional Delivery Partnership arrangement, contractors will become delivery integration partners, designing and constructing motorway and major A-road projects across England. \n \nCommenting on the award, Haydn Mursell, Chief Executive said: \"We have extensive experience of working on the strategic road network across the country and will bring this experience with us as we embark upon this new contract.
