[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 3974L Kenetics Group Limited 09 January 2009 \nKenetics Group Limited\n09 January 2009\n\nContract Award from Singapore Land Transport Authority\n \n\nFor Immediate Release \n\n\nKenetics Group Limited\n\nKenetics wins Award for On-Board Bus Equipment\n\n\nKenetics Group Limited ('Kenetics' or 'the Company' or 'the Group'), the Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) company focused on Security and RFID systems and products, announces today that it has been awarded a contract to supply On-Board Bus Equipment (OBE) with Wireless Local Area Network (WLAN) by Singapore's Land Transport Authority. \n\nThis contract covers the design, manufacture, supply, deliver, install, test and commission of a new OBE and new WLAN. The scope covers also trials on buses of the new equipment, which shall include features and components in a fare collection system. The total value of this contract amounts to about £1.22 million. The contract is expected to complete with 15 months from the award of the tender. Upon successful development and trials, roll-out of the new equipment is expected for the public buses in Singapore\n\nSince early 2007, Kenetics has been investing in the development of equipment and RFID readers used in Automated Fare Collection Systems for Public Mass Transport such as bus and rail systems.
