Kenwood Appliances PLC 23 February 2001 KENWOOD APPLIANCES plc ('the Company') The Company has been advised today, 23 February 2001, of the following transaction in ordinary shares by Precis (521) Limited: 'This notification relates to issued ordinary shares of 10p each in the capital of the Company (the 'shares') and is given in fulfilment of the obligations imposed by Sections 198 to 202 of the Companies Act 10985 (the 'Act'). 1. 'We hereby notify you that immediately after the time when the obligation to make this notification arose we are interested in 6,741,861 shares. 2. 3,445,000 of the shares to which this notification relates are registered in the name of Goldman Sachs Equity Securities and a further 1,186,860 of the shares to which this notification relates are registered in the name of Skerries Nominees Limited and a further 1,185,001 of the shares related to which this notification relates are registered in the name of PIFCO plc. The identity of the registered holders of 925,000 of the shares to which this notification relates, is not known to us at the date of this notification. The above interest represents approximately 14.7% of the issued share capital of the Company.
