About this update from Kefi Gold And Copper Plc

[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nAIM: KEFI 11th August 2008\n\n KEFI Minerals Plc \n\n (\"KEFI Minerals\" or the \"Company\") \n\n GEOPHYSICAL SURVEY IDENTIFIES DRILL TARGETS AT BAKIR TEPE PROJECT \n\nKEFI Minerals, the AIM-quoted gold and copper exploration company with projects\nin Turkey, is pleased to announce the results of a recently completed\npole-dipole Induced Polarisation (\"IP\")/Resistivity survey on its 100% owned\nBakir Tepe Licences in southwestern Turkey.\n\nThe IP survey has defined two moderately strong chargeability anomalies, one of\nwhich the survey suggests has a strike length of over 900m, in what is\ninterpreted to be a very favourable setting for volcanic massive sulphide (VMS)\ncopper-gold style of mineralisation.\n\nThe northern anomaly is marked by continuous chargeability values exceeding\n10mV/V, up to a maximum of 19.9mV/V. The anomaly has a strike length of\napproximately 900m east-west and is up to 350m in width. The two dimensional\ninversion models place the depth to the top of the chargeable source as greater\nthan 50m and up to 120m in places. This anomaly coincides with the down-dip\nprojection of the known copper-gold mineralisation in the area.\n\nThe southern anomaly is marked by continuous chargeability values exceeding\n10mV/V, up to a maximum of 19.0mV/V. The anomaly has a strike length of over\n400m east-west, is up to 250m in width, and is open ended to the west. The two\ndimensional inversion models place the depth to chargeable source as\napproximately 50m.\n\nThe IP responses are interpreted as being indicative of the occurrence of\npotentially economically significant levels of sulphide mineralisation. KEFI\nMinerals plans to complete an initial phase of diamond drilling to test the IP\nanomalies at depth. Drilling of up to three holes, each to around 200m deep, is\nscheduled for September 2008. Further drilling programmes will then be\ncoordinated based on the success of the initial phase of diamond drilling.\n\nThe alteration sequence observed at Bakir Tepe is typical of peripheral\nalteration \"apron\" zones that form around the core of a massive sulphide\ndeposit. The geophysical IP survey was designed to explore for the presence of\nsulphide mineralisation at depths of up to 250m below surface, in the vicinity\nof the outcropping mineralised alteration zones.\n\nKEFI Minerals was granted the Bakir Tep...
