(\"Karnalyte\" or\n the \"Corporation\") (TSX: KRN) today announced that the Saskatchewan\n Ministry of Environment (\"MOE\") is in the process of scheduling a\n public review period to consider Karnalyte's Wynyard Carnallite Project\n (the \"Project\") Environmental Impact Statement (\"EIS\").\n\n\n\"The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment has completed its technical\n review of the Project's Environmental Impact Statement and is\n proceeding to the public review stage of the approval process,\" said\n Robin Phinney, President and CEO of Karnalyte. \"The public review of\n the EIS is the next step in the process to obtain Project approval so\n this is an important development for the Corporation.\" \n\n\nKarnalyte submitted a revised EIS to the Saskatchewan MOE on September\n 25, 2012. Once the MOE sets the date for the start of the public review\n period, the notice will appear in newspapers and on the MOE website. \n The EIS and technical review comments will be available for public\n review for a period of 30 days.\n\n\nAbout Karnalyte Resources Inc.\n\n\nKarnalyte is engaged in the business of exploration and development of\n high quality agricultural and industrial potash and magnesium\n products.  Karnalyte intends to develop and extract a carnallite -\n sylvite mineral deposit through a known solution mining process at\n competitive costs and with minimal environmental impact.  Using a\n staged approached to potash plant construction, the Corporation plans\n to operate a solution mining facility that will initially produce\n 625,000 tonnes of potash per year, increasing to 2.125 million tonnes\n of potash per year.
