[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n \n 4 June 2014\n\n Lapland Diamond Exploration Claim Reservations Granted \n\n * Three Claim Reservations granted in the Lapland region of Finland\n \n * Kimberlite Indicator Minerals recovered in all three areas\n \n__________________________________________________________________________________\n\nKarelian Diamond Resources plc (\"Karelian\" or the \"Company\") (AIM: KDR, ESM:\nKDRI), the diamond exploration company focused on Finland, is pleased to\nannounce that TUKES (The Finnish Mining Authority) has granted Karelian three\nexploration Claim Reservations in the Lapland region.\n\nInterrogation of airborne geophysics in the region by the Company, together\nwith till sampling and integration of data made available to Karelian under its\nagreement with Rio Tinto Mining and Exploration Limited, led to the decision to\napply for Claim Reservations in the area. A Claim Reservation grants exclusive\nrights to apply for exploration claims within the reservation area.\n\nIn all three areas kimberlitic indicator minerals were recovered.\n\nLapland is the largest and northernmost region of Finland. It lies\npredominantly within the Arctic Circle and borders Sweden, Norway and Russia.\nLapland also forms part of the Archean bedrock of the Karelian Craton, the\nRussian sector of which has already yielded two world class diamond\ndiscoveries. The new Claim Reservations are a further addition to Karelian's\ndiamond exploration programme which has already delineated, at Seitaperä in the\nKuhmo region, the largest known diamondiferous kimberlite in Finland.\n\nProfessor Richard Conroy, Chairman commented:\n\n\"I am delighted that these additional Claim Reservationswere granted, all of\nwhich are considered to have potential for diamonds.
