(TSXV: JZR) is pleased\n to announce that Keystone Environmental has been engaged to conduct an\n environmental study at the former Spider Mine mill site near Camborne\n BC. The results of the study will be used to support the permit\n application for a pilot mill at the site. The pilot mill will be used\n to process bulk samples from the Teddy Glacier property and\n mineralization from the Spider Mine.\n\nThe study would examine the soil, the existing tailings, and surface\n water chemistry to provide an overview for a reclamation program. The\n information obtained would also be used to site the pilot mill, dispose\n of tailings, and provide data for a baseline characterization.\n\nA biologist and a geoscientist will travel to the site to collect data\n on vegetation and wildlife and conduct water and soil sampling.\n\nThe Spider Mine was brought into production in 1952 and continued\n operations until 1958. Total production to the end of 1958 was 371\n kilograms of gold, 53,481 kilograms of silver, 85 tonnes of copper,\n 10,845 tonnes of lead, 11,519 tonnes of zinc, 60 tonnes of cadmium and\n 4 tonnes of antimony from 128,063 tonnes of ore with a recovery grade\n of 0.086 oz Au/ton, 12.2 oz Ag/ton, 8.6% Pb and 9.14% Zn. This vein was\n developed from surface to a depth of 200 metres. Mineralized material,\n of grades similar to what was mined previo...
