Jazz acquires new mineral claims

(JZR: TSX-V) is pleased to\nannounce that it has entered into an agreement to acquire eight existing\nmineral claims in the Camborne area of British Columbia.\n\n\nThe Sanders claims adjoin the Company's existing Teddy Glacier claims.\nThe claims are accessible and have good exploration potential. The claims\ncover part of the Lardeau mineral belt and contain the historic "Agnes" and\n"Burniere" showings. The showings contain gold, silver, lead, and zinc.\n\n\nThe Burniere showing contains visible gold, associated with bright green\nfuchsite in a 20-200cm wide white quartz vein on the flanks of Comaplix\nMountain. Two short adits plus some trenching was done on the property in the\nearly 1910's. Despite some encouraging gold values 10.29 g/tonne (0.3 oz/ton)\ngold from surface and 67.54 g/tonne (1.97 oz/ton) gold over 80cm taken\nunderground as sampled by B. Taylor, P.Eng. in 1983, little exploration has\nbeen done. Trenching along the strike was done in the past for a length of 75\nmetres, with some additional prospect pits beyond. Two short adits were driven\nwith an elevation difference estimated to be about 20 metres. The wall rocks\nare laminated siliceous phyllites, with some black to brown weathering\ncarbonate. The vein material at the Burniere is essentially white quartz with\nvariable but subordinate amounts of carbonate and sericite. Very little pyrite\nis present.\n\n\nThe Agnes showing comprises galena-sphalerite-chalcopyrite veins hosted\nin Cambrian to Devonian Lardeau Groups (Index Formation) phyllites.\n\n\nUnder the terms of the agreement, the Company will pay $12,500 and issue\nto Mr. Ken Sanders, the vendor of the properties, 25,000 common shares of the\nCompany.
