TSX-V Trading Symbol: SNS

VANCOUVER, Aug. 9 /CNW/ - SNS Silver Corporation (TSX-V: SNS) ("SNS") reports continued progress at the Crescent Mine. SNS has completed the drilling of 10 holes in the upper country of the Crescent Mine approximating 12,000 feet of core. SNS is currently waiting on assay results.

In addition to the Hagby 1500 drill, Kettle Drilling has added state-of-the-art U8-PHC core drills-with a depth capacity of over 4000 feet-and will be used for both surface and underground drill programs. The drills have been running round-the-clock shifts, averaging 600 feet per day.

Rehabilitation of the Hooper Tunnel is nearing completion, expected within a few weeks while ventilation and electrical power is restored to the full extent of the shaft. Rehabilitation of Big Creek No.4 portal is underway by United Mine Services Inc., which will be used for ventilation and as a secondary escape way from the Hooper Tunnel.
