Company CEO Addresses 2014 Highlights, Including First Ever Installation of Ambient's Commercial Technology and Pursuit of New Industry Verticals
SPOKANE, WA--(Marketwired - Dec 22, 2014) - Ambient Water (
Dear Shareholders,
Good morning and afternoon, thank you for taking the time to read this message.
The last few months have been considerably busy for Ambient Water, as well as our strategic partners, and we'd like to share with you some of the highlights:
The statistics surrounding global water scarcities are frightening. According to Water.org -- approximately 3.4 million people die from a water related disease each year, as the lack of potable drinking water has come into focus in many areas around the world. Even more alarming, approximately 780 million people lack access to clean water. Industries, not just people, are feeling the effects from the crisis as well. Recently, farmers in Arizona supported a new agreement that will help conserve the amount of water in Lake Mead, which could result in a short-term sacrifice. WorldWildLife.org has stated that, "Agriculture uses 70% of the world's accessible freshwater, but some 60% of this is wasted due to leaky irrigation systems, inefficient application methods, as well as the cultivation of crops that are too thirsty for the environment in which they are grown." Statistics around hydrofracking show a similar pattern, as according to the Ceres Investor Network, of the 40,000 fracking operations put in place over the past three years, three quarters are located in areas where water is scarce, and nearly 55% are in areas experiencing drought.
While these numbers should create concern for us as individuals as well as business people, we believe that the focus should be on sustainable solutions. With that in mind, the Ambient Water team will continue to establish its systems in verticals already discussed, as well as pursue implementation in industries where water scarcity is of great concern.
Thank you for your continued support, and have a great New Year.
Regards,
Keith White, CEO, Ambient Water
