[{"type":"text","content":"\n Fisher (James) & Sons PLC\n06 November 2006\n\nFor release 06 November 2006\n\n\n\n James Fisher & Sons Plc\n\n ('James Fisher' or 'the Company')\n\n\n Formation of James Fisher Inspection & Measurement Services\n\n\n\n\nJames Fisher (FSJ.L), the marine services provider, announces the formation of a\nnew company, called James Fisher Inspection & Measurement Services (JFIMS), to\nprovide inspection and measurement services to the nuclear, defence and offshore\nsectors and has appointed Dr Paul Read as its managing director, who joins from\nBritish Nuclear Group, where he was managing director of its instrumentation\nsubsidiary, with extensive experience in the field of measurement and\ncharacterisation technologies.\n\n\nJFIMS, which will be based in Manchester and near Sellafield, is also\nestablishing partnerships with key product manufacturers and is pleased to\nannounce a strategic partnership with VJ Technologies Inc, a New York based\nmarket leader in the provision of safe, state-of-the art inspection systems and\nprovision of X-Ray characterisation equipment for a broad range of applications\nand demanding operating environments.\n\n\nJFIMS will provide a broad measurement and inspection capability based on a wide\nrange of technologies, including optical, acoustic and X-Ray.
