James Fisher Secures Two-Year Extension of MoD Contract
James Fisher and Sons, the UK's leading specialist shipowning and management
group based in Barrow-in-Furness and with offices in London and Aberdeen, has
reached agreement with Defence Logistics Organisation, a division of the
Ministry of Defence, for a two-year extension of its contract to manage the
spares and distribution facility for Equipment Support (Air) at RAF Sealand.
David Cobb, executive chairman of James Fisher, commented that the company is
delighted to continue its valued association with the MoD.
James Fisher is a long-established shipowner, operator and manager. Its core
business involves the operation of some 36 vessels in a range of specialist
markets, including a fleet of small to medium sized clean product tankers, the
largest of its kind, operating principally along the coasts of the British
Isles and the near Continent.
