[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 2808I Cropper(James) PLC 08 December 2015  \n\n8 December 2015\n \nJames Cropper plc ('James Cropper' or the 'Company')\n \nImpact of Storm Desmond\n \n \nJames Cropper provides the following update on the impact of Storm Desmond to its facility at Burneside in Cumbria.  \n \nOver Saturday night and Sunday morning the river Kent, which flows by our mill site at Burneside, rose to its highest ever known level and flooded through part of the site.\n \nThe first and main priority over the weekend was focused on the safety of those working at Burneside and we are pleased to report that despite some challenging circumstances everyone has remained safe.\n \nThere has been some damage caused to warehousing, facilities and materials. However the implementation of emergency procedures minimised the overall impact and subsequently damage to structures and key equipment appears relatively limited although there will be some disruption as site clean-up operations are undertaken and certain raw materials re-supplied.\n \nOur insurance covers both losses to goods and consequential losses. Excesses are £15k for goods and £1million for consequential losses. Our insurers have been notified and we are in discussions whilst accumulating evidence.\n \nA further announcement will be made in due course once the impact of the flooding has been more fully assessed.\n \n \n \n \n \nEnquiries:\n\n\n\n\nJames Cropper plc (Aim:CRPR)\nPhil Wild, Group CEO\nwww.cropper.com\n \n\n\n01539 722002\n \n \n\n\n\n\nWesthouse Securities Limited \nRobert Finlay\nHenry Willcocks\nDavid Coaten\nwww.westhousesecurities.com\n\n\n020 7601 6100\n\n\n\n\n \n\nThis information is provided by RNSThe company news service from the London Stock Exchange  END  MSCUBOARVVAURUA\n ","length":3810,"tagName":"div"}]
