The CEO Initiative will work with governments, NGOs and other critical stakeholders in the technology, payer, provider and finance industries to achieve the shared goals of preventing and effectively treating Alzheimer's disease by 2025 and enhancing the quality of life of those with the disease and those who care for them.\n \nSpecifically, the G8 Global CEO Initiative on Alzheimer's disease aims to:\n \n· Spur innovation and facilitate opportunities to improve the care of those affected by Alzheimer's;\n· Reduce the time, cost and risk of drug development to improve the productivity of R&D investments;\n· Accelerate a means of prevention and treatment of Alzheimer's, including improving the ability to identify and diagnose the disease;\n· Spur new models for care, care preparation and care delivery, and\n· Re-shape the environment in which society addresses Alzheimer's patients and caregivers.\n \nProfessor Hill is a member of the dementia research champion group, formed in March 2012 by Prime Minister David Cameron to oversee the implementation of the commitments on dementia research in the Dementia Challenge.
