[{"type":"text","content":"\n RNS Number : 9307S ITM Power PLC 20 September 2010 \n \n\n \n20 September 2010\n \nITM Power plc\n(\"ITM Power\" or \"the Company\")\n \nSuccessful Open Day\n \nITM Power is pleased to announce the successful launch of the Company's HFuel mobile vehicle refueller during an Open Day at ITM's manufacturing facility which highlighted the progress made by the Company over the past year.\n \nThe Open Day, hosted by Chairman Professor Roger Putnam, provided an opportunity for over 200 investors, analysts and potential commercial partners to learn more both about the progressive global hydrogen economy and ITM Power's considerable technical progress within this sphere over the past 12 months. Guests were initially addressed by the Company's Chief Executive Officer Dr Graham Cooley and Chief Technical Officer Dr Simon Bourne with a presentation titled From Energy Storage to Clean Fuel:http://www.itm-power.com/cmsFiles/media/ITM_OpenDayPresentation_150910.pdf. This was followed by a full tour of ITM Power's manufacturing facility, showcasing the recently launched product range. Senior executive and technical staff were in attendance and answered questions throughout the day.\n \nITM Power used the high profile opportunity to formally launch the Company's HFuel product, a fully autonomous hydrogen refuelling station for vehicles, targeted at return-to-base fleets. Agreements have been signed with several blue chip companies and organisations for trials of the HFuel system, which will initially power two specially adapted Ford Transit Vans, one of which was on display during the event. Several of the registered guests present represented key global companies who might also potentially benefit from the costs and carbon savings associated with the use of Green Hydrogen.\n \nThe high level of attendance, from such a varied audience spanning every area of importance to ITM Power, demonstrated the growing interest in Hydrogen as a realistic alternative fuel and also helped establish the Company's technology as a key enabler in the process of harnessing and storing 'low or no carbon' renewable energy. \n \nMany of the guests were interviewed by ITM Power's media team during the event.
