[{"type":"text","content":"\n ITM Power PLC\n27 February 2008\n\n\nFor Immediate Release 27 February 2008\n\n\n ITM Power plc\n\n ('ITM' or 'the Company')\n\n ITM Power wins top international award\n\nA British company leading the alternative fuel revolution has won a major\ninternational award.\n\nITM Power (AIM: ITM), which is developing ways of using hydrogen to fuel\nvehicles and provide power for homes and offices, has won The CleanEquity Monaco\n2008 Award for Excellence in the Field of Environmental Technology Research.\n\nThe award was presented to ITM's Chief Executive Officer, Jim Heathcote, by\nH.S.H. Prince Albert II of Monaco at a ceremony in Monaco at the end of the\ntwo-day international conference on emerging environmental technologies.\n\nJim Heathcote said: 'This is a great honour and recognition of the hard work\nthat everyone at ITM Power is doing to make hydrogen fuel a commercial reality.\n\n'We have made tremendous breakthroughs in science and technology that will allow\nus to produce low-cost fuel cells and electrolysers. These products will open\nthe doors to zero emission energy solutions.'\n\nITM Power's scientists have been researching and developing the technology for\nmore than a decade. Later this year the company will open a factory in Sheffield\nto start commercial production.\n\nThe company was founded in 2000 and is listed on the London Stock Exchange's\nAlternative Investment Market (AIM).
