[{"type":"text","content":"\n ITIS Holdings PLC\n10 July 2007\n\n\n\n EXCLUSIVE LICENCE WITH 4 DIGITAL GROUP\n\n\nITIS Holdings plc ('ITIS' or the 'Company') is pleased to announce that through\nits partnership with 4 Digital Group it has secured exclusive access to data\ncapacity (channel bandwidth) on the UK's second National Digital Radio multiplex\nfor 12 years. ITIS will provide a range of traffic information services aimed\nat factory fitted and portable navigation systems.\n\n\nThis exclusive agreement will enable ITIS not only to provide a continuity of\nits quality service to its existing customer base throughout the transition\nperiod of analogue to digital radio switchover, but also to enrich and increase\nits dynamic content offering.\n\n\n4 Digital Group, a consortium comprising Channel 4, EMAP, UTV, BSkyB/Chrysalis,\nCarphone Warehouse and UBC, has recently been awarded the licence by Ofcom to\noperate the UK's second National Digital Radio multiplex for a period of 12\nyears.\n\n\nThe development of the 4 Digital Group's transmission infrastructure will be\nrolled out over the next 18 months and ITIS is already in discussion with a\nnumber of its automotive and mobile device clients regarding the joint\ndevelopment of services which will utilise the licensed data capacity.\n\n\nStuart Marks, Chief Executive of ITIS, commented 'The UK has led the progressive\ndevelopment and roll out of digital radio and we are very pleased to have a\nlicence with this consortium. We bring a wealth of\nexperience and knowledge of the automotive sector to 4 Digital as we already\noperate the UK's leading broadcast traffic data service using analogue based RDS\nTMC under a separate Ofcom licence. This new digital capacity will ensure the\ncontinuity and enhancement of our services whilst enabling ITIS to be at the\nforefront of new receiver technology.'\n\n\nNathalie Schwarz, Director of Radio for Channel 4 stated.
