[{"type":"text","content":"\n ITIS Holdings PLC\n29 August 2007\n\n\n 29th August 2007\n\n\n CONTRACT EXTENSION\n\n MITSUBISHI MOTORS EUROPE HAVE EXTENDED THEIR CONTRACT WITH ITIS\n\n\nITIS Holdings plc (ITIS) today announces a 3-year contract extension with\nMitsubishi Motors Europe B.V. to continue to supply its RDS-TMC (Radio Data\nSystem - Traffic Message Channel).\n\n\nThe ITIS RDS-TMC service is a standard feature on the factory-installed\nsatellite navigation system, which is available on the new Mitsubishi Outlander\nand new Mitsubishi Pajero factory fitted satellite navigation systems for the\nEuropean market.\n\n\nThe new Outlander's and Pajero's navigation system is enabled to receive the TMC\nmessages broadcast by ITIS, which holds the UK licence to broadcast TMC which\nwas awarded by the Radio Authority (now Ofcom). Satellite navigation systems\nenabled for TMC receive real-time traffic information data from ITIS, not only\nto provide drivers with aural and visual alerts on traffic hold-ups ahead, but\nalso to automatically suggest alternative routes enabling drivers to dynamically\nre-route around congestion.\n\n\nThese advanced features are expected to also be made available later with the\nall-new Lancer family of cars (Lancer Sports Sedan, Lancer Sportback and Lancer\nEvolution).\n\n\nStuart Marks, Chief Executive, ITIS Holdings plc, commented, 'We have enjoyed a\nstrong relationship with Mitsubishi Motors since 2001 and are delighted to see\nthis continue with ITIS as Mitsubishi Motors' exclusive RDS-TMC service\nprovider.
