[{"type":"text","content":"\n \nRNS Number : 5290I Iomart Group PLC 16 June 2011 \n \n\niOMART GROUP PLC\n(\"iomart\" or the \"Group\" or the \"Company\")\n \niomart named in world's top 25 for cloud services\n \niomart Group plc (AIM:IOM), has been named as one of the top cloud providers in the world in a survey of Managed Service Providers working in the cloud. \n \niomart was listed in 22nd place - the highest ranked UK company to be mentioned - in the Talkin' Cloud 50 2011 survey. The Talkin' Cloud 50 overall ranking is based on annual cloud revenues for 2010, dollar growth, percentage growth from 2009 to 2010 and total number of customers running cloud applications. It is produced by Nine Lives Media Inc., a US based industry research house. \n \nEarlier this month, iomart Group plc announced a rise in pre-tax profits for the year ended 31 March 2011 of 618 percent to £2.8m. Revenue also showed a big increase, up 38 percent to £25.3m from £18.3m in the previous financial year. Enquiries for enterprise cloud services, still an embryonic market, now make up more than 35% of iomart's leads.\n \nThe Company's managed hosting and cloud computing business is based on full ownership of its data centre estate in the UK. It owns data centres in London, Maidenhead, Glasgow, Nottingham and Leicester.\n \nThe survey states that Talkin' Cloud 50 companies generated $321 million in annual cloud revenues for 2010, up 47 percent from $218 million in 2009. \n \nAngus MacSween, CEO of iomart Group plc, said: \"iomart was an early proponent of the cloud and every layer of our service delivery infrastructure has been built to accommodate a real cloud portfolio.
