Project Delivery Update

S ignificant progress made on key project deliveries during Q1 2023

 

Further to the project delivery update provided on 30 December 2022, Invinity Energy Systems plc (AIM: IES) (AQSE: IES) (OTCQX: IESVF), a leading global manufacturer of utility-grade energy storage , is pleased to confirm the successful delivery of more than 11.4 MWh of Invinity batteries so far in 2023. Key project updates are below:

 

8.4 MWh Solar + Storage Project, Alberta, Canada

Invinity confirms that all 38 Invinity VS3 batteries have now been delivered to Elemental Energy's Chappice Lake Solar + Storage project site in Alberta, Canada. Final installation of the 8.4 MWh battery system is now well under way, to be followed shortly by energising, commissioning and commercial operation.

8 MWh Solar + Storage Project, South Australia, Australia

Further to the update provided in the 30 December 2022 announcement, 14 Invinity VS3 batteries have cleared customs and have now been delivered to a customer-designated holding facility near the project site in South Australia. The remaining 27 batteries have been shipped from Invinity's facility and are currently in transit to Australia. Installation work is ongoing, with the balance of the total 8 MWh system expected to be installed and energized within Q3 2023.

10 MWh Solar + Storage Project, California, U.S.

Invinity has also commenced manufacturing of the 10 MWh of VS3 batteries that will be used at the Viejas Microgrid project in Southern California, in partnership with Indian Energy and funded in part by the California Energy Commission. Eight Invinity batteries are currently in transit to the Company's newly expanded facility in Vancouver, Canada where they will undergo final assembly and testing before being shipped to the project site. The remaining batteries are expected to be delivered over the coming months, in line with customer timelines and aligned with construction works at site. The Company and its partners continue to expect the battery system to be commissioned during mid-2023.
