On this Project Camco is partnering with Village Industrial Power (VIP), a micro boiler technology manufacturer based in Vermont, USA.\nUSAID's Clean Tech funding award, Powering Agriculture, which across all participants totals $13 million, supports innovative projects aimed at integrating clean energy technology into the agriculture sectors of developing countries. \nThe aim of the Biomass Mini-Grid Project is to accelerate agribusiness development (irrigation, processing, storage, etc.) by providing clean energy (mechanical, electricity, thermal) to local enterprises. The project will involve constructing fifty biomass plants which will run exclusively off of agricultural waste (palm fibres, coffee and rice husks, cashew shells, cotton stalks, etc.) and provide 5,000 local families with a modern energy supply and improved business and social services.\n \nFor more information on the US AID award see;\nhttp://www.usaid.gov/news-information/press-releases/dec-11-2013-usaid-announces-winners-clean-tech-award-powering-agriculture\nFor more information on Powering Agriculture see;\nwww.poweringag.org \nEnquiries:\n \n Camco Clean Energy plc \n Scott McGregor, Chief Executive Officer &nbs...
