[{"type":"text","content":"\n Intertek Group PLC\n11 December 2007\n\n\n11 December 2007, 7:00am (UK)\n\nExecutive director board appointment and organisational changes\n\nIntertek Group plc ('Intertek'), the leading international provider of quality\nand safety services to a wide range of industries, announces the appointment of\na new Executive Director to the Board of Intertek Group plc and organisational\nstructure changes to some of the Group's businesses.\n\nMark Loughead, currently Executive Vice President of Intertek's Oil, Chemical &\nAgri division, joins the Board of Intertek Group plc with effect from 1 January\n2008. Mark also assumes a new role as Chief Operating Officer, with\nresponsibility for global integration of sales, key account management, global\ninformation systems and country-focused sales and support across the Group.\n\nTo better capture rapid growth opportunities in certain sectors and to increase\nthe focus on customers in their specific industries, from 1 January 2008\nIntertek will be organised into seven divisions: Consumer Goods; Commercial &\nElectrical; Analytical Services; Minerals; Oil, Chemical & Agri Cargo;\nIndustrial Services; and Government Services.\n\nVanni Treves, Chairman of Intertek, commented:\n'I am delighted to welcome Mark to the Board.
