[{"type":"text","content":"\n \n\n\n\n\n\nRNS Number : 9292C Intercede Group PLC 15 March 2011  \n \n\n15 March 2011\nIntercede Group plc\n(\"Intercede\")\n \nAchievement of Further Top Industry Standard\n \nIntercede MyID PIV v9 Approved by U.S. Government\n \nLondon, United Kingdom, 15 March 2011 - Intercede is pleased to announce that Intercede MyID PIV v9, the latest version of its identity and credential management system, has been approved by the U.S. General Service Administration, GSA, for use by government agencies as part of the Federal Information Processing Standards 201 program.\nThis enables Intercede's existing and new Federal customers to take advantage of the greater utility, security and resilience of the new generation of PIV cards that comply with the latest enhanced cryptographic security requirements defined by U.S. National Institute for Standards and Testing, NIST.\nSpecifically, Intercede MyID for PIV v9 is the first electronic personalization product on the GSA's Approved Products List to implement the recovery of archived encryption certificates in accordance with the NIST SP800-73-3 specification. \n This accreditation follows rapidly from another 'first' for Intercede when, on February 17, 2011, it was announced that two installations of Intercede MyID PIV v9 were used to issue the first PIV-I cards to pass formal compliance testing. \nThe unique combination of PIV and PIV-I compliance enables both Government and private sector organizations to deploy fully interoperable identity cards with confidence. It reinforces Intercede market strength because it is mandatory that U.S. government agencies use only those products listed on the GSA APL to enable their FIPS 201/PIV infrastructures. \nRichard Parris, Intercede's Chairman and Chief Executive, said:\n\"This approval further demonstrates that Intercede is the technology leader for the supply of secure identities and credentials to the U.S Government and its contractors.
