Opening of the new Pabidi Lodge, Uganda
Inqo Investments Limited has announced the opening of Pabidi Lodge, its second eco-luxury hospitality asset in Uganda's Budongo Forest, which is expected to be revenue-generative within the current financial year. This development, comprising a main lodge and ten luxury tented suites, is the sole 5-star lodge within the Budongo Forest reserve and represents the first operational enterprise under Inqo's Conservation and Rural Enterprise strategy, aiming to create sustainable economic opportunities and protect critical ecosystems. The forest is internationally recognised for its ecological importance and historical association with the late Dr Jane Goodall's primate research.\n \nThe development comprises a main lodge and 10 luxury tented suites, offering guests premium access to one of Africa's most distinctive conservation destinations. Experiences include chimpanzee trekking, River Nile wildlife excursions and safari access to Uganda's renowned Big Five within Murchison Falls National Park.\n \nThe Group expects Pabidi Lodge to be revenue-generative within the current financial year.\n \nPabidi Lodge represents the first operational enterprise under Inqo's broader Conservation and Rural Enterprise (\"CARE\") strategy in Budongo. The CARE initiative is designed to address deforestation and ecosystem degradation by creating sustainable economic opportunities for surrounding communities through scalable, profitable, factory-based and tourism-linked enterprises.
