[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\nFirst major maintenance turnaround completed with no lost-time safety\n incidents\n\n\nCALGARY, Sept. 30, 2014 /CNW/ - Imperial Oil Limited today announced the\n completion of a major planned maintenance turnaround at its Kearl\n facilities.\n\n\n\"We would like to wholeheartedly congratulate and thank our contractors\n and employees for completing this major turnaround without a lost-time\n safety incident,\" said John Whelan, Imperial Production Manager,\n Mining. \"This was our first major planned maintenance turnaround event\n that included preventative maintenance to the ore preparation plant,\n hydrotransport, extraction and solvent recovery systems, along with\n modifications to froth treatment instrumentation and control valve\n upgrades focused on enhancing reliability.\"\n\n\nWhelan added that special recognition goes to the following contractors,\n who worked incident free: Acuren Group Inc., AITF (Alberta Innovates -\n Technology Futures), ALE Role-Lift Canada, Birch Mountain Enterprises\n Ltd., Bula Enterprises, CEDA International Corporation, Clean Harbors\n Canada, Clearwater Energy Services LP, Fluor Driver, FT Services, HSE\n Integrated Ltd., Koch-Glitsch, Motion Industries (Canada) Inc., Prime\n Boiler Services, Roberts Mechanical Services, Safway Services Canada,\n Sterling Crane, Weir Services Edmonton, and Willbros Construction\n Services Canada LP.\n\n\nThe turnaround, during which the Kearl facility was off-line, was\n executed over the last two full weeks of September.
