March appointed senior vice president of ExxonMobil Chemical\n Company\n\n\n\n\nCALGARY, Feb. 21, 2013 /CNW/ - The board of directors of Imperial Oil\n Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of R.M. (Rich) Kruger as\n chairman, president and chief executive officer effective March 1.\n\n\nMr. Kruger, currently president of ExxonMobil Production Company,\n succeeds B.H. (Bruce) March, who has been appointed senior vice\n president of global operations for ExxonMobil Chemical Company.\n\n\n\"We would like to thank Mr. March for his leadership and vision over the\n past five years. During his tenure as chairman and CEO, he has led\n Imperial through a period of strong earnings and company growth, which\n will enable Imperial to double its size within a decade,\" Imperial's\n board of directors said today.\n\n\nAs senior vice president of global operations for ExxonMobil Chemical\n Company, Mr. March will have responsibilities for ExxonMobil Chemical's\n worldwide engineering, manufacturing technology and manufacturing\n operations, which include 17 major manufacturing sites in 11 countries.\n\n\nExxonMobil Chemical Company is one of the world's largest petrochemical\n companies and has global revenues of $65 billion and earnings of nearly\n $4 billion.\n\n\nMr. Kruger started his career with Exxon in 1981 in Houston, Texas, and\n held various technical, supervisory, and management positions\n throughout the United States. In 1996, he became technical manager for\n Exxon's engineering activities in the former Soviet Union and in 1999\n was appointed vice president, Africa Deepwater, ExxonMobil Development\n Company. In 2001, he was appointed director and chairman of\n ExxonMobil's subsidiaries in Malaysia, and in 2003 was appointed vice\n president, Asia Pacific/Middle East, for ExxonMobil Production Company.\n\n\nMr. Kruger was appointed vice president, United States, of ExxonMobil\n Production Company in 2005 and in 2006 was named executive vice\n president of ExxonMobil Production Company.
