[{"type":"text","content":"\n Immupharma PLC\n11 April 2006\n\n\nFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE London, 11 April 2006\n \n\n ImmuPharma commences drawdown of prestigious research grants exceeding €1m\n\n\nImmuPharma PLC (LSE:IMM), the specialist pharmaceutical discovery and\ndevelopment company, announced today that it has started drawing down\nindependent grants to assist with the development of its lead drug candidates.\nThe grants which were approved in principle at the time of ImmuPharma's AIM\nadmission in February 2006,have been awarded by ANVAR and ANR, two French state\norganisations that support innovative and promising R&D programmes. These grants\nwere specifically dedicated to the preclinical and clinical development of\nImmuPharma's lead compound Lupus IPP-201101 currently in Phase I and to the new\nclass of MRSA antibiotics IPP-203101 presently finishing preclinical\ndevelopment.\n\n\nDr Robert Zimmer, President and Chief Scientific Officer, commented: 'We are\ndelighted to have been chosen for these grants, out of many companies that have\napplied.
