(TSX: IDL),\nthe global leader in the rapidly growing market of digital radiography (DR),\ntoday announced that the Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital (SPMH) in Kerrville,\nTexas has chosen IDC's X1590 and X2200 direct digital radiography systems for\nits new, expanded medical facility. After a rigorous evaluation process, the\nhospital chose IDC for its system reliability, image quality and processing\nefficiency.\n\n\nSPMH is located in "the hill country," a rural area approximately\n60 miles from San Antonio, TX and the hospital has been an IDC customer for\nmore than three years.\n\n\nAccording to Mary Thompson, Assistant Director of the Department of\nRadiology for SPMH, "We initially purchased IDC DR to be more productive\ncapturing chest X-rays because the growing number of patients was overwhelming\nour limited staff. We quickly found that the IDC systems were so much more\nefficient than our computed radiography unit that we were soon bringing all\ntypes of X-ray exams to the IDC chest room."\n\n\nThe hospital announced its decision in 2006 to build a larger facility to\naddress the region's growing population. At that time it began the process of\nevaluating radiography systems for its new medical center. According to\nDavid Leyva, San Antonio Branch Manager of IDC distribution partner Merry\nX-Ray Corporation, "The contract was awarded to IDC because members of staff\nat Sid Peterson have been extremely happy with the reliability and image\nquality of the IDC systems."\n\n\nThe new, comprehensive Peterson Regional Medical Center is due to open on\nApril 12, 2008 on a 35-acre campus.
