(TSX: IDL)\ntoday announced that it will exhibit its newly released X-Series technology,\nenhanced product line and latest software developments at the 2007\nRadiological Society of North America (RSNA) meeting in Chicago, November\n25-29. This release is the result of more than 10 years of engineering\nresearch and development, and represents the 3rd generation of the most\ncommercially successful digital radiography system in the world, with\ninstallations in 36 countries.\n\n\nThe new IDC X-Series CCD-based imaging detectors: X3G, X3C, and X4C are\ndigital alternatives to traditional film-based x-ray. The product line is\ntiered to provide high-quality, affordable solutions for each level of\nhealthcare, from the largest medical hospitals to small clinics, outpatient\ncenters and healthcare providers in developing countries or markets where\nfunding is limited.\n\n\nThe new technology provides the following advances:\n- Higher sensitivity and amplified dynamic range\n- Anti-blooming for better image quality, reduced distortion and very\n low noise\n- Lateral Overflow Drain to eliminate saturation artifacts\n- Enhanced soft tissue imaging without compromising bone detail\n- Significant increase in imaging performance\n\n\nAccording to Mr. Robin Winsor, IDC Chief Technology Officer and inventor,\n"This product series is unique to the industry and sets a new standard for\ntechnical performance, combining our proven CCD technology with the latest in\nCCD and imaging components.
