(TSX: IDL),\n the global leading provider in the growing market for digital\n radiography (DR), is pleased to announce the highly anticipated release\n of its proprietary image acquisition software, Magellan version 3.6.\n Magellan 3.6 is a major upgrade to IDC's CCD based digital radiography\n product offering in that it allows the software to be translated in\n multiple languages and meet the needs of IDC's growing international\n install base. Initially the software is being released in Chinese and\n Spanish with the expectation additional language translations will be\n made available in 2011. The Magellan 3.6 software is compatible with\n the IDC X-Series DR platform and will be available through IDC's global\n distribution channels.\n\n\nThe Magellan 3.6 software's capability to be in Chinese is particularly\n important for the two large contracts awarded to IDC for its DR\n technology by the China Charity Foundation (CCF) in January of 2009 for\n 300 units; and the China Foundation for Poverty Alleviation (CFPA) for\n 600 rural and remote counties in China this past June 2010.\n\n\nMr. Sidong Huang, IDC Senior Vice President said of the release, "This\n software platform represents a major step forward for IDC in supporting\n its important customer base in the Asia Pacific region where two major\n contracts are in place and will support the ...
