(TSX: IDL),\nthe global leader in the rapidly growing market for digital radiography (DR),\nis pleased to announce the highly anticipated release of its proprietary image\nacquisition software, Magellan version 3.4.\n\n\nMagellan 3.4 is a major upgrade to IDC's CCD based digital radiography\nproduct offering. It is compatible with the IDC Xplorer and X-Series DR\nplatforms and will be available through IDC's global distribution channels.\n\n\nAmong the enhancements provided by the Magellan 3.4 software are an\nupdated calibration wizard, extended parameter ranges, plus the new\nBrightField model, an adaptive algorithm which optimizes diagnostic image\nquality and consistency.\n\n\nMr. Tom Boon, IDC President & CEO said of the release, "This new software\nplatform represents an evolution for existing IDC users and is consistent with\nour focus on meeting customer needs by providing enhancements which improve\nthe performance of their IDC DR systems."
