[{"type":"text","content":"\n\n\n\nCALGARY, Sept. 19 /CNW/ - IDC (Imaging Dynamics Company, Ltd.)\n(TSX: IDL), announced that the company has recently completed its 50th\nshipment of its CCD based digital radiography (DR) technology to Latin\nAmerican, with recent installations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Mexico,\nVenezuela, Colombia and the Dominican Republic.\n\n\nOverview\n\n\nDarryl Stein, President and CEO, IDC says, "We have made substantial\ninvestments of time and resources over the past 2 years into building strong\npartnerships throughout South America to serve their medical imaging needs.\nThese represent the first and only digital X-ray products ever installed in\nmany of these Countries. As a Canadian technology company we have been very\nwell received."\n\n\nIDC recently opened its new South American office in Santiago, Chile to\nserve the region. Opening ceremonies coincided with Canada celebrating its\ntenth anniversary of the Free Trade agreement with Chile and a visit to the\nCountry from Canadian Prime Minister, Stephen Harper.\n\n\nIDC recorded the first three product installations in Santiago, Chile,\nthat includes the Hospital San Jose de Santiago Centre for research; Clinica\nLa Portada, one of the most important private clinics in the north region of\nAntofagasta and most recently, an installation at one of the busiest medical\ncenters in Santiago, the Centro de Referencia de Salud de Maipu.\n\n\nIn Argentina, two IDC systems are installed at Hospital Allende, the main\nhospital for the province of Cordova. This site is the first hospital in this\nCountry to go digital and performs more than 12,000 X-ray studies per month.\n\n\nIn Colombia, IDC collaborated with a number of institutions and hospitals\nto complete over 10 DR installations. Among them was IDIME (Instituto de\nDiagnostico Medico), the largest imaging consortium in the Country and the\nHospital de Policia, one of the most prestigious hospitals in Bogota.\n\n\nHospital de Santiago, recently installed the new IDC 1600 system with X3C\ntechnology. Located in the Dominican Republic, this 500 bed hospital serves as\nthe newest technological hospital in the Country.\n\n\nIDC has also completed an agreement with PDVSA (Petroleos de Venezuela),\nVenezuela's state oil company; and the main provider of health services to its\nemployees in several locations.
