(TSX: IDL),\ntoday announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Government of\nChile's Ministry of Health for its new X-Series direct digital X-ray\ntechnology. The contract includes the IDC X1600 digital radiographic (DR)\nsystem with the new X3C detector, as well as X-Series technology from\nVMI-Sistemas Medicos (VMI), IDC's Latin American OEM partner. Thirty three\nunits will be installed throughout Chile, providing accessibility to advanced\ndiagnostics to even the most remote regions of the country via an\ninterconnected national medical intranet.\n\n\nIDC's X-Series provides high quality images using low dose and a very low\ncost of ownership compared to traditional film X-ray technology.\n\n\nThe contract was awarded to IDC as the result of a rigorous evaluation\nprocess that assessed image quality, cost of ownership, current customer\ninstallations, service records and FDA regulatory approvals.\n\n\n"I am proud to be an integral part of Chile's country-wide transition to\ndigital radiography," said Orlando Morante, IDC General Manager, Latin\nAmerica.
