[{"type":"text","content":"\n Image Scan Holdings PLC\n03 April 2008\n\n 3 April 2008\n\n\n Image Scan Holdings plc\n ('Image Scan' or 'the Company')\n\n\n\n\n\n MULTIPLE NEW CONTRACTS SECURED\n\n FOR 3D X-RAY TECHNOLOGY OF OVER £750,000\n\n\n\nThe Board of Image Scan, specialists in the field of real-time 3D and 2D x-ray\nimaging for the 'Homeland Security' and 'Industrial Inspection' markets,\nannounces that further orders have been received for its Axis-3d(R) system from\nChina and for its MDXi-400TM system from Johnson Matthey in the US.\n\n\n\nFollowing comprehensive negotiations with its Chinese distributor, Shanghai\nUnitech, the Company has received two new orders for its Axis-3d(R) baggage\nscreening system. The first order is for one machine based on the second\ngeneration of the Company's 3D technology and is expected to be delivered within\nthe next 8 weeks. The second order, valued at £630,000, is conditional on the\nsatisfactory acceptance testing of the new design. It is anticipated that both\nAxis-3d(R) orders should be deliverable in the current financial year but this\nwill be dependent on the prompt approval of the first system.\n\n\n\nFurthermore, the Company has recently sold an MDXi-400TM system to Johnson\nMatthey to operate alongside the three inspection systems already supplied by\nImage Scan into their US plant.\n\n\n\nAs a result the order book at the end of our first half stood at £1m comprising\nthe Chinese orders announced above and TPXi orders as referred to in the recent\ntrading update. Whilst these orders will enable the Company to meet its sales\ntarget for homeland security, further industrial sales must be secured to\nachieve the overall objective of stabilising the financial position of the\nCompany.\n\n\n\n\n\nImage Scan's CEO, Nick Fox, commented, 'Following recent success in selling the\nAxis-3d(R) system for use at the Beijing Olympics, we have now secured the\nopportunity for significant sales into China.
