The Stereaxâ M250 is a thin (0.7 mm) solid-state battery with 250 uAh capacity and 5 mA peak current sufficient to power wireless communication technologies such as Bluetooth® Low Energy. \n \nNow, the rate capability, which is the ability to provide even higher peak and continuous currents, has been improved through the optimisation of the manufacturing process. An increased continuous current of 20C (meaning the entire cell can be charged or discharged in three minutes) has been recorded with good cycle life. This is twice the previously qualified continuous current for this battery and 10 times the maximum continuous current typically specified for conventional lithium ion batteries. This means that the improved Stereaxâ M250 can now provide higher power and support greater functionality to autonomous sensors such as providing power for longer range communications protocols like LoRaWANTM.\n \n\n\n\n \nFor more information contact:\n \nIlika plc \n\n\n \nwww.ilika.com\n\n\n\n\nGraeme Purdy, Chief Executive\n\n\nTel: 023 8011 1400\n\n\n\n\nSteve Boydell, Finance Director\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nLiberum Capital Limited\n\n\nTel: 020 3100 2000\n\n\n\n\nAndrew Godber, Cameron Duncan\nTrystan Cullen, William Hall\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWalbrook PR Ltd \n\n\nTel: 020 7933 8780 / [email protected]\n\n\n\n\nPaul Cornelius \n\n\nMob: 07866 384 707\n\n\n\n\nLianne Cawthorne \n\n\nMob: 07584 391 303\n\n\n\n \n \n \n \n\nThis information is provided by RNS, the news service of the London Stock Exchange.
