Richard Hunting, Chairman, will be making the\nfollowing statement to shareholders:\n\n'Performance throughout the Group continues to reflect a strong marketplace\nenhanced by capital expenditure decisions made in prior years. Oil and gas\ncompanies persist in their urgent quest for new developments and reserve\nreplacements, thereby providing excellent opportunities for Hunting.\n\nGibson Energy's truck transportation, with additional trailer capacity,\ncontinues to benefit from Canadian heavy oil projects. Its Canwest Propane\ndivision has seen immediate results from prior year acquisitions and margin\nmanagement. The Marketing and Moose Jaw Refinery divisions are continuing to\ncapitalise on the volatility in the various grades of heavy oil and diluent\navailability.\n\nHunting Energy has experienced new and further growth throughout its global\nfacilities. Our Asian Group has benefited strongly from Middle East and Far East\ncontracts. The European market remains steady for products and services. In\nspite of a stabilised North American rig count, all facilities have improved\norder books. The Exploration and Production division has improved year on year\nvolumes.\n\nOverall, trading is in line with the Board's expectations. However, currency\nfluctuations will impact the final result.
